Late 1960s or early 1970s mini dress in eggplant purple with golden orange medallions. Tent dress features a V neck in both front and back with a triple bell decoration in front. Skirt is lined in shocking pink poly cotton blend and the bodice in purple. This dress has no zipper or other opening so you will need to be narrow enough in the shoulder to slip this on just the way it is.

Provenance

This dress is part of a collection I recently purchased. I instead of paper or bubble wrap, a customer of mine used 42 mod mini dresses from the 1960s and early 1970s to transport their Mother's pottery collection from Hawaii back to Portland, Oregon. Then they wisely brought them to me. The woman's Mother was a seamstress and Home Economics teacher. This dress was handmade by one or both of them.

Our lovely model, Laurel Mae's measurements at the time of this shoot were 32-25-34 and she stands 5'6" tall.

Condition

Very good condition rating an 8 out of 10. There is just a little tear to the lining at center back neckline from someone too broad in the shoulder trying it on. Otherwise freshly dry cleaned and ready to wear.

Bright pink (almost neon or coral) drop waist dress dates to the late 1960s. Drop waist is accented with tabs through which a belt is run. Tabs are topped with genuine mink fur button in an Autumn Haze shade. Tabs and belt are echoed at the neckline. Square bodice seaming at bust features matching top stitching. Ribbed double knit polyester dress is lined in a pink poly cotton blend fabric. Closes at center back with metal invisible zipper

This hand crated vase uses both color as well as clear glass to create a beautiful optical sculptural piece of art that can hold flowers or stand on its own to accent a room.

A beautiful bright green 5 mm peridot is set into a split bezel on one of my textured stacking rings. Next to the stone sits a single hydrangea blossom cast in solid 18k gold. The perfect little hydrangea measures just 6mm and it sits on a 1.9mm wide sterling band that is detailed with some tool marks and textures that give it a slightly primitive feel. The ring has a soft, satin, burnished finish.
